Caramel Icing

Ingredients

1 stick margarine

1 c. brown sugar

1/4 c. milk

2 c. 10X powdered sugar

Directions

Melt the margarine in a heavy sauce pan and stir in the brown sugar.
Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
Add the milk and bring just to a boil, stirring.
Remove from heat and add the powdered sugar, beating until smooth.

Notes

Caramel frosting was a favorite of Jean’s. She usually used it to ice a white sheet or layer cake. This recipe was found among her recipes.
